My good mate Ralph Clucas lived in no1 Amos street with his parents Alf & Lil (the photo titled 'Amos street in 1965' shows his house with his dad's car outside). My photo shows Ralph (left) and me holding the Guy Gibson trophy awarded to the 'Best Air Cadet of the Year' that we had both won on 611 Sqn over a number of consecutive years. The family moved to the St Georges Heights high rise tower block to make way for the demolition and clearance process. Sadly, Ralph passed away in 2017.
