The Anderson family who worked in the docks lived at 5 Howe Street for a number of years including 1881-1884. Parents Thomas and Mary Ann Anderson. Children included Robert Henry and Joseph John Anderson. Thomas was an engraver. Robert Henry and Joseph John both became stewards on ships operating out of Liverpool docks

Hi Ken. It's not a memory, but a request that yourself and others may be able to answer. I am tracing a family tree and my Great Great Grandfather lived at 46 Buckingham st in 1902 and married my great great grandmother ( who lived at 79 Howe St). They were married in Christ Church, but I can not find any photos of this church as it was destroyed in 1941. So, Im wondering if anyone out there has an image of this church that stood where Everton Park Sports center is now. And also as to what the numbering of the houses was, i.e did the low numbers start at the Great Homer St end ? From what I can see on old maps, Bucking St looked like it ran straight up the hill as opposed to the right turn it makes now, so I'm just trying to locate were both of those houses would have been. Interestingly I've found 78 and 80 Howe st listed with former residents, so it would have been crazy if I found someone who was living in the house that was where my great great grandmother was living in the late 19th century, but obviously 50 or 60 years later. The names where Thomas Edward Flaherty ( 46 Buckingham St) and Mary Shepherd (79 Howe St). Thanks for giving me a little glimpse into what it would have looked like before the area was demolished
