Hi I am Barrie Davies 1 of 4 kids from 28, 2 girls 2 boys. my Dad Richard and mum Doris. I have some fond and not so fond memories of growing up in Phoebeanne st . I was actually born in 28 in 1951. The area was being demolished to create a new place, I think this started around 1965/66 I emigrated to OZ in 69 and it was still in progress. I still love to go back to there , just a trip down memory lane.Regards to all that are still with us. cheers from OZ

My Great nan and Grandad are the Barton's at number 18 .. My Nan Jean Barton about to Marry my grandad William Edward Johnstone.

Phoebe Anne Street was near the famous Everton Water Tower, still a prominent structure in our old district. You can see an image of this well known terraced street in 1960 by using this site's home page ABC search. It is accompanied by a modern image with new houses now in situ. It looks as if Back Phoebe Anne Street has gone, possibly to accommodate new back gardens and more houses.

Would you know if Back Phoebe Ann Street was near here, only my Mum (Robinson) lived there in late 30's/early 40's until it was bombed and destroyed in the war.....any tips on where I may be able to get some information please.

Parents names Joey & Jessie Holden No 20. Approx 1960 to 1968 My childhood recollections; big, dark and scary houses especially winter time. The stairs disappeared into the dark.

We, the Holden’s, lived in Phoebe Anne Street from around 1960 to 1968 at no 20. I remember the Bartons who lived next door at no 18 & Mrs Cherry was in no 22. Opposite is were the Freeman”s.
