  2. John Edmondson says:
I lived at No23 with my dad John and mum Pat. Not sure of exact year we moved from somewhere off Kensington in one of the tenements on what is now the Royal Liverpool hospital. I guess it would have been about 1958/9 because I was too young (2 or 3 years old). We were relocated in 1962 to Huyton because the houses had been condemned. My younger brother and sister lived there too. We always played in the bombedies. I also remember bugs living behind the wallpaper, we used to press and pop them, the rat infestation too. Outside loo and tin bath. I have some photos of the time we lived there of a number of local kids and ourselves sitting and posing on my dad's car.
  3. Lorraine (nee McKinney) says:
I lived in Back Strickland Street from early 50's to early 60's. My heart was left behind when we had to leave due to personal difficulties. Recognised our street as soon as I saw the picture of the little lad. Our house is about 4 doors down from where he's standing
