All I was born in November 1963 in my grandparents house, 64 Aubrey Street, Everton. My grandparents were Nicholas & Catherine Morait. From what I have been told, all my uncles and aunties lived at this house, my mother was one of 12. I am happy to be contacted if anyone has more information.

Looking the part on Aubrey Street (corner of Everton Road) are Billy Webb and Stan Cotton, outside the famous Pepper's dance venue that was also famous for being a boxing club where champions like of Nel Tarleton and Dom Valance once trained.

Remember the water tower well. It was just around the corner from us and in the bad winter of 1948 because all the pipes froze in the houses we had to take buckets and anything else to get fresh water. I also remember me and a mate Mickey Spencer climbing over the high railings with pointed spikes on and he slipped and his upper arm was impaled on the spike. I managed to lift him up to free his arm and off to hospital he went.
