St Domingo's Methodist Connexion church on Breckfield Road North between St Domingo Grove and St Domingo Vale. The fledgling football team of this church, playing in Stanley Park in 1878, changed their name to a certain Everton Football Club in 1879 during a meeting at the former Queen's Head Hotel on Everton's Village Street which therefore became the birthplace of big time football on Merseyside.

Breckfield Rd North and shops at no's 61 to 81. The pet shop on the corner of Rutland Street with the small Austin 7 car in front of it used to sell raw meat for pets. It used to be stained green to put off humans eating it. When I lived in Everton we had a labrador dog which preferred this tainted meat to anything in a can. He was solid muscle and a beautiful dog. RIP Prince.

A busy Breckfield Road North with Thirlmere Road on the left. In the middle of that block was a small iron foundary where one of my friends father worked. I remember one day, my friend and myself taking his 'carry out' to him which he'd forgotten. The heat inside that foundary was intense. I was glad to leave.

Breckfield Road North at no's 137 to 141. A few large houses a dentists and a Drs I seem to remember. As boys we used to collect caterpillers here. These particular ones turned into Saw flies unfortunately.
