Bute Street

This image was submitted to the Heyworth Street & District Facebook page by Paul Forrester relating to 43 Bute Street. It was taken in the back yard in April 1943. Paul says: "It shows my uncle George (home on leave from his regiment, The Royal Northumberland Hussars) with two of his sisters, Flo & Ada Hadfield. This was the last time George was home as he returned to his regiment and was sadly killed in action on June 10th 1944 during the battle of Le Hamel, Normandy."
