Stonewall Street

Stonewall Street
  1. Ken Rogers says:
Howard Davies uploaded this excellent picture of a tram on Heyworth Street passing Stonewall Street. Howard's uncle, Bob Hilton, lived at number 49 with his son Bobby and wife Hannah until the houses were pulled down. Bob is the middle man of the three stood outside the Elephant Pub at the top of the street.

Thanks to Howard Davies for the three fine pictures of Stonewall Street below. Love the one with the tram. My family, the Rogers lived in the adjacent Copeland Street at number 12. My grandparents were Tom and Emily and I remember everything about their little terraced house which I visited regularly in the 1950s.
