St martins cottages ,Sylvester st....my great grandfather and his wife lived in these tenements briefly.they were the first council housing in Europe with hot running water and indoor loo. By the time my great grandfather was living there they had become slums. Now demolished but st Sylvester's church still remains

The names of the people who lived in Upper Beau Street bring back memories of times gone by, produced by the ever diligent Joan Hatch. Ricky Goff passes on his very best to Joan for this wonderful list of old neighbours. He asks us to point out that at 107 Charles & Elizabeth Golf should be Goff. Ricky is interested if anyone remembers the Goff family, or the Hanleys who were also living at 107. The Hanleys were Ricky's great grandparents (his gran Elizabeth's parents).
