Can you spot your mother or grandmother on this beautiful image as a large group of local ladies (and a few men) pose for a group photo outside Art-Quilt & Co Ltd that once stood on the corner of Soho Street and Langsdale Street. Just look at those stylish coats!

    This photo is of one of the managers and staff, having a lunch break. It is the staff entrance of The Art Quilt Company on Soho Street 1965. They made beautiful satin quilts, I was one of 5 material cutters who worked there.

    One of the many public houses in the area, Soho Arms. Soho Street off Everton Brow. I met my husband in here, having a drink ,on a Saturday night. He worked on the demolition, I worked in the Art Quilt.

    Soho Street was at the heart of west Everton. It ran from the junction of Everton Brow and Richmond Row and reached the busy main road that is Islington. Some well known local streets ran off China Street, including William Henry Street and Langsdale Street.
